Death Note-Episode 37

It is finally over. Quite a good ending. Just perfect, I should say. Light died the way he deserved to die. But a part of me wishes that he should have realised his mistake and they should have shown him regretting his mistakes...but wait...they did actually show him regretting when they showed him running with the wounds, recalling his past before he got the death note. It was nice to hear him cry for Misa and Takada in the end.

The character worthy of mention in this final episode is Matsuda. Throughout the anime, he was quite useless in the task force (though he did lighten up the mood). I'm proud of him. If he hadn't shot Light, I'm quite sure that Light would've gotten away with even this terrible situation.

I would have liked an extra episode devoted to justifying the fact that killing evil people is not a solution. I know it is wrong to kill, no matter who you are killing. But I cannot help but notice that what Light did definitely brought good into the world. The wars and fights and crimes did reduce.

That final episode should have also shown Sayu, Light's mother, the task force members, Near and other characters post Light's death. It would have also been nice to see what happened in the world when people learned that Kira is dead.

But, of course, critics would definitely say that the last episode was useless.

I'm still trying to figure out what exactly happened to Mikami in the end. He just started bleeding.

I was wikipedia-ing. And I found that L's real name is L Lawliet. Interesting. I wonder whether this was revealed in this anime.

No matter what I said beforehand, this anime was great and deserves all the praise it gets.

Death Note-Episode 36

Define nail biting! I'm so dying to know what happens next. My guess is that something is wrong in Light's plan and Near makes it through. Lets see.

Death Note-Episode 35

What is the bloody meaning of this! This anime totally sucks. There has to be a limit to the number of good characters you kill. Well, may be I'm saying this only because I'm totally shocked.

Poor Takada. She was kidnapped, stripped naked, bled and forced to do something. And she did it all for Light. And that crook killed her. What the hell!

And Mello was killed too! This is insane. The most important question is- How the hell did Takada know Mello's name? I don't remember her making the eye deal.

I see a plan unfolding. Who will win- Light or Near? I really don't trust these anime makers any more. They can even make Light win the ultimate battle.

Only 2 more episodes remain. I wonder how they will show so much that's remaining in just two episodes. I would hate it if they wrapped it up hurriedly.

Death Note-Episode 34

The conversation between Matsuda and Ide was hilarious. And the way Aizawa shouted at them was even more hilarious. Good thing Matsuda is still here to save the anime from extreme seriousness. Here's a extract of their conversation-
Matsuda (on listening to Light's and Takada's talk)-"It's tough to do this for hours."
Ide-"Yeah, you really look like you're suffering."

Near's
dolls are so cute.

I would have liked it if Aizawa expressed some more surprise and happiness on seeing Near. He could clearly see that Near is like a duplicate of Riyuzaki. He should have said something like, "We, the task force members, were really attached to L and we trusted him. It was a great loss to us. We are happy to see L's successor."

Misa was cute again when she said, "Are you trying to ruin my reputation?"

Here are my doubts about his episode-
1.How could Aizawa be so certain that Light and Takada would use the last paper? They could easily make communications by using only the first few pages.
2.Why would the shinigami give Mikami the notebook? We all know that Light posted it to Mikami with extra instructions.
3.Why would anybody die by touching the death note?
4.What was the purpose of checking Mikami's handwriting, I mean, what was the purpose of checking whether Mikami was the one writing in the death note?

I just checked the words of the opening and ending sing in English and they quite senseless. May be it's because they were translated.

Death Note-Episode 32

So, this was an episode devoted to Mikami (the guy to whom Light transferred the death note to). And this episode only showed me how foolish a person could be. That guy, Mikami actually thinks that God chose him and all that crap. But, wait....it just struck me...considering Mikami's history about how his mother died and how he always protected the weak and innocent, it would be wrong to call him foolish. His circumstances forced him to become the way he is.

The other thing this episode showed was the same as usual, that is- Light's evil and intelligent plans.

And now Takada has been dragged into this. I will have to call her foolish. Totally foolish. She doesn't even realise that she is being manipulated by men.

This episode was the one I found least interesting of all till date. I really don't know why. It is probably because there was no share of the good guys in this episode. Ever since Riyuzaki died, the anime has become 10% less interesting. But, nevertheless, it is still 'very' interesting.

I didn't get what Light did to make the task-force remove their wire taps and surveillance cameras. He wrote something in Japanese and I don't know Japanese.
Again it is quite unlikely that Mikami would figure out so much in such a short duration. I mean, he isn't supposed to be very intelligent. How the hell could he figure out that Kira had requested a private meeting with Takada. And also that Kira/Light was being watched. Very unrealistic. Bad.

Death Note-Episode 31

What the hell! Now, Near will be confused just like L was confused. Damn! At least, Light doesn't know Mello's and Near's names and faces. And gladly Misa doesn't have the eyes anymore. This time there is no Rem to save Misa and therefore, no Rem to kill Near and Mello for Light. A transfer again, this seems to be a protocol for Light whenever he's under suspicion. Aizawa surly has brains. I hate to say this but Matsuda is dumb.

Death Note-Episode 30

First he got Mello, now he got Near. Soon he'll kill Aizawa and Ide. That asshole!!
Near is perfect copy of L. The style and the brains. Except L was into putting his finger into his mouth and Near is into playing with his hair. Plus L was into food and Near is into games. Mello is different. He's obessesed with chocolate but he is intelligent nevertheless.I think Mello and Light are on the same boat, I mean personality-wise.
My favourite quote which is by Near, "Making assumptions is part of any investigation. If we're wrong, all it is going to cost is an apology."
